Collagen Skin Benefits - Caring for Psoriasis with Collagen
What are collagen skin benefits? What about collagen and weight loss? Our Edible Health extended family have shared their incredible stories. However, if the condition of your skin is a priority, then read on about Julie and her son William.
Does Collagen Help Psoriasis?
Now aged 21, William developed a bad throat infection in his teenage years. Shortly after, he began to experience psoriasis on his scalp, back, arms and legs. Over the years his mum Julie had tried all kinds of remedies, and purchased many products. William would give them a go for about a week, before deciding Julie was wasting her money and her time.
Then one day Julie purchased collagen.

Unlike the lotions and potions prior, William seemed to stick with drinking collagen. The psoriasis began to ease, to the point where it remains only on his scalp now. Julie stirs the collagen protein into some flavoured water making it quick and easy for him to take. William not only feels more confident in his skin, but more comfortable too.
And it’s not just William who has seen the benefits….
Collagen and Weight Loss
After the birth of her second son, Julie found she could never quite get her body back. She put on three stones and, although she avoided junk and fried food, she knows now that she was eating too many carbohydrates and not enough protein.
When she turned 49, Julie decided enough was enough. She enrolled in a local gym and as a result she was given two free personal training sessions. Two years later, 3.5 stones (22 kilos) lighter, and armed with a wealth of knowledge about nutrition, Julie’s a different woman.
Skin and nails

Julie originally started taking collagen after this incredible weight loss. She was prone to dark circles under her eyes and her nails were always weak and bendy from wearing gels all the time. Since taking the collagen, she feels her overall complexion has improved, her eyes are brighter, the dark circles less prominent, and her nails are now strong and hold their shape.
So, as a result of personal training and collagen, Julie now gets out of bed light as a feather, energised, glowing and moving freely... Not like the old woman she was once worried of becoming.

You get what you pay for
After trying Edible Health and being very pleased with the results, Julie thought she’d trial a competitor product, with a slightly lower price point. It turned out to be a bad decision. Not only was William put off by the consistency, but Julie worked out the collagen per serving and realised they were getting far more from Edible Health. The next time around, Julie purchased a 2kg bulk bag of collagen from Edible Health, restoring not only her and William’s health benefits, but saving some pennies too. The pair hasn’t looked back since.
In Julie’s house, it’s not enough to want to lose weight and gain wellbeing. You have to resist temptation.
You see, with a husband and two adult sons, Julie is the only one under the roof who wants to lose weight. As a result, she’s regularly tempted by the chocolate, crisps and unhealthy snacks on which the men graze. Every now and again, the resistance will give way and Julie will enjoy a little indulgence. However, she’s otherwise very much set in her healthy, new ways. She’s also happy to share her knowledge with others.
Julie recommended Edible Health to a fellow member of her online training group. Three weeks later and the lady to whom she made the recommendation has already noticed improved hair and nail strength, too.
