How much collagen per day in the UK?

Edible Health recommends 13 grams of collagen per day, which is within the general recommended daily allowance of 2.5 - 15 grams. It is not advised that you exceed this daily dosage. Each of us is on a different health journey, so always check with your GP about taking nutritional supplements!*

How much collagen per day in mg?

We recommend 13,000 mg (equivalent to 13 grams, as mentioned above) of pure Edible Health collagen dosage per day. If you don’t have kitchen weights, that is roughly the amount of two tablespoons.

How much pure bovine and marine collagen per day?

Both our Bovine Collagen and Marine Collagen are pure collagen blends. This means when you buy a tub or a pouch, you get 100% collagen protein. As such, take 13 grams (or two tablespoons) of these alpha amino acids per day, and you’re done - tickety-tick!

How to take pure Edible Health collagen

Because our pure collagen protein dissolves so easily, you have complete freedom to enjoy this collagen supplement any way you wish. Blend it in a smoothie, add it to your tea or coffee, stir it into some freshly squeezed orange juice (don’t forget - vitamin C helps your body to better absorb collagen) or bake it into bread.

How much collagen to take for blends?

Along with our pure collagen powders, we also make blended collagen, including our Digestive Enzyme Powder and Anti-Ageing Collagen Powder. Because these contain added natural goodies to help your gut and reduce signs of ageing, you need a slightly larger collagen dosage.

We recommend taking approximately 15g - 16g of either of these collagen-blended powders per day. This is somewhere between two generous tablespoons and three level tablespoons.

How to take our blended collagen powders

These blended protein powders contain other natural ingredients. As a result, they need a little helping hand to dissolve (unlike our pure powders). However, it’s fast and easy!

Just add a little milk or oil to your recommended dosage of collagen and stir it into a smooth paste. Once you have a nice consistency, add it to smoothies, juices, puddings or porridge. Remember - both our blended powders contain natural flavours. As such, they are not ideal partners for tea or coffee (unlike our pure powders).
